Itinerary Tour (Start SEMBALUN Village and Finish Torean/Senaru Village)

Day 1: Struggle to Break Through the Savannah

Sembalun (1,156m) — Pelawangan Sembalun (2,639m).

On the first day, the terrain was dominated by vast grasslands (savanna). The main challenge was the scorching heat.

Enjoying an early morning breakfast at the hotel at 6:00 am.
07:00 AM – 08:00 AM : Registration at RIC (Rinjani Information Center) Sembalun, health check, and briefing.
08:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Trekking to Post 1 (Monitoring) and Post 2 (Tengengean). The path is still relatively flat.
12:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Lunch at Post 2. Take a short break to gather energy.
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Continue your journey to Post 3 (Pada Balong) to Pelawangan Sembalun (Basecamp). Here, you'll encounter "The Hill of Regret"—a seemingly endless series of steep climbs.
6:00 PM: Arrive at Pelawangan Sembalun. Have dinner, enjoy the sunset above the clouds, and get a full night's sleep (around 8:00 PM) because the summit attack begins early in the morning.

Day 2: Catching Dawn Above the Clouds & Hot Springs Relaxation

Pelawangan Sembalun — Summit (3,726m) — Segara Anak Lake (2,000m)

This is the most challenging and memorable day. You’ll conquer the summit and then descend to the crater.

02:00 – 02:30: Wake up, light breakfast (usually biscuits and hot tea), and summit preparation.
2:30 – 6:00 AM: Summit Attack. The trail is composed of unstable sand and gravel. The "two forward, one back" approach will be very draining, especially on Letter E (the last trail before the summit).
6:00 AM – 7:00 AM: Summit Rinjani. Enjoy the sunrise with views of the entire island of Lombok, Mount Agung in Bali, and Mount Tambora in Sumbawa.
07:00 – 09:00: Head back down to Pelawangan Sembalun for a big breakfast.
10:00 – 2:00 PM: Descend to Segara Anak Lake. The trail is very steep and rocky, so be careful with your knees.
4:00 – 6:00 PM: Arrive at the lake. Have lunch, then visit the hot springs, which are believed to relieve aches and pains. You can fish or simply relax by the lake.
7:00 PM: Dinner and camping by the lake.

Day 3: Sembalun Crossing – Descend to Senaru or Torean Village

07:30 AM: Breakfast while enjoying the last morning atmosphere at altitude.
9:00 AM: Begin the descent via the same route (Bukit Penyesalan and Sabana Sembalun). The descent is usually quicker but requires more focus on the knees.
12:30 PM: Lunch at Post 2 or Post 1.
3:00 PM: Arrive at Senaru/Torean Village. A shuttle is waiting to take you back to the main office to pick up your luggage.
4:00 PM: Transfer to the next destination (Airport, Senggigi, or port).
